Centralized composting System

Environmental impacts from improper solid waste management would increase and these negative effects will badly influence human health and income generation from tourism. Since 2007, we have experienced with various approaches in the form of centralized composting implementation as briefly below:

Centralized composting facilities

• Composting project since 1997 -2010 at Stoeng Mean Chey Landfill, Phnom Penh City: Open Windrow Composting for around 5 tones/day of green waste from Doeum Kor market and slaughter house to the composting plant located next to the old dumpsite in Stoeng Mean Chey.
• Social and Waste Management Center in Battambang Municipality since 2010 – the present at Viel Sre 100 Landfill, Battambang City: 8,000 m2 composting plant using Open Windrow Composting for around 5-7 tones/day of green waste from the wholesale vegetable markests and food processing factories in Battambang province.
